Epidemic
2005, sound, 3’, music: Mikkel H. Eriksen
Edition of 5

An animated figure is dancing in front of a background of rapidly shifting still-images. A beak covers the dancer’s face. During the Middle Ages, the beaks were used as a primitive device that when filled with herbs and perfume it filtered out the stench of illness and rot during the epidemic of plague in Europe.
